Questions That Our Sellers Frequently Ask Us

What is Pluggable?

Pluggable is the first-of-its-kind online marketplace dedicated to promoting and selling WordPress plugins developed by talented developers.

How do I become a Pluggable seller?

We are excited to help you market and sell your plugins without any hassle. To become a Pluggable seller, navigate to the “Become a seller” button at the top menu.

From here, click on the “Become a seller” button.

Fill out the information on the form and submit it. Our quality assurance team will review your application and get back to you ASAP!

What do I need to provide while submitting a plugin?

The plugin submission process is really simple and you only need to provide the plugin files.

Can I sell my plugin somewhere other than Pluggable?

Pluggable won't prohibit you from selling your own plugins on other platforms. You may sell and distribute your products through other online stores and directly to customers.

When do I get paid?

We have a flexible payout system that allows you to receive payments after reaching the $100 threshold. After reaching the threshold you can easily transfer your funds at any time you want.

How do I report piracy or redistribution of my plugin

If you find that your plugin is being distributed without authorization through our website, please submit a ticket on “our support website” and we will be glad to investigate this. If you find your content being distributed without authorization on a third-party website, you will need to submit a ticket or help request to that site and the site's host. This must be done by you, we cannot do this on your behalf.

How does my plugin submission get reviewed

Plugins submitted on the Pluggable marketplace are generally reviewed for the following:

- The plugin is accurate and functions as advertised on the submission form.

- The plugin is able to pass a technical and functional review to ensure the quality of work.

- The plugin would add overall value to the Pluggable marketplace and is not easily reproduced.

Who is responsible for testing and QA of my plugin?

Upon initial submission and approval, our QA team will review your product to ensure it functions as mentioned in the submission form. Once the product has been approved, experienced developers from Pluggable will be responsible for all further quality assurance testing to ensure the best possible end-user experience is maintained.

When will my plugin be published?

After it has been approved by Pluggable experts, it will be published on the Pluggable marketplace within 7 working days.

While your plugin is approved but not published, we will reach out to you if any kind of change is needed. You can also create a “support case” for any type of update and assistance.

Where should I report a review?

Any user can report any review on a plugin page of the Pluggable marketplace by clicking the report button/flag image button beneath the review. The pop-up window will require you to select a report type and provide a detailed description of your issue. Once submitted, our support team will be notified of the report and will investigate the flagged review as soon as possible. Typically reported reviews will be removed if they contain, or direct users to, any of the following:

- Unwanted commercial content or spam.

- Hate speech or graphic violence.

- Harassment or bullying.

- Technical inaccuracy.

Why was my submission declined?

A plugin can be declined for a number of reasons. If you have a plugin declined at any point, you will receive an email message that explains the reasons it was declined. If you have any questions or require clarification, please feel free to write back to our support website.

Please do not resubmit your product without making the requested changes.

The most common reasons that products are declined on the Pluggable marketplace are:

- Not high enough quality

- Incorrect file format

- Buggy code

- Code copied from another plugin

Can pluggable customers modify, resell or transfer my plugin?

Customers are free to modify any plugin they purchase from the Pluggable marketplace by the law of GPL2, but they may not transfer or sublicense those products for further distribution on the Pluggable marketplace or any other online marketplace.

What happens in cases of fraud?

While we do our best to prevent fraud as much as possible, fraudulent purchases happen from time to time as they do on any online store. When a fraudulent purchase of your product is identified, the purchase is immediately refunded, and you'll be notified within 2-3 business days.

Do I need to provide content and media for my plugin?

You will need to provide the initial two images (size included in the submission form) and the content of your plugin while submitting on the Pluggable marketplace. Our experienced content and marketing team will SEO optimize the content and make it more suitable for your target audience and take care of the rest of the marketing aspects.

Will I be responsible for my plugin support?

You can give support to the customer who has purchased a license directly from your support website or method. All you need to do is add the link to that website while submitting your plugin on the Pluggable marketplace.

We also have a plan ( link to the plan) if you wish to have your plugin support managed by our dedicated support team. After subscribing to that plan, any type of issue the customers face with your plugin will be handled by the Pluggable support team.

Can I remove my published plugin from the Pluggable marketplace?

You can conceal your plugin for further sale at any time by going into the account dashboard, selecting your plugin, and clicking DRAFT. Those who have already purchased your plugin can continue to download its files, but other customers cannot purchase your plugin while it’s hidden. At any time you can click PUBLISH to unhide your plugin and make it available for sale again.
